From Faulkner

One day I was talking to Cora.  She prayed for me because she believed I was blind to sin, wanting me to pray and kneel too, because people to whom sin is just a matter of words, to them salvation is just words too.  - As I Lay Dying

Thoughts on this Journal

None of my posts turn into very length dissertations. I reckon this a good thing. It is not that I do not have much I’d like say, but rather that I have too much to say, thus rendering any attempt useless from the start (this is a mercy, no?).
I do like to string words together though; to experiment with placement, punctuation, and my personal favorite: italics
Furthermore, I like to quote good books. Most of what I post here is either a meditation on salvation or a passage from a wonderful book. Sometimes I begin to think that the former is actually encapsulated in the latter – a foul mistake if there ever was one.
